Program Description
The Train-the-Business-Trainer for Small Business Development Program will enhance your ability to support your business clients and will provide your organization with a new, value-added service by equipping you to prepare, deliver, and provide follow-up support for a series of ten intensive, 3-hour small business development workshops. Ultimately, the aim of this program is to improve the sustainability and growth of small business by helping owner-operators implement new management practices.
Learn how to deliver the kind of focused, high-impact training that your business clients need and want. This complete package will have you offering a new service to your clients almost immediately. It complements the industry-leading APEC-IBIZ Training and Certification Program for Small Business Counsellors, sharing the same outcome-focused approach, and meeting the same rigorous standards of quality and effectiveness.

How The Program Works...
STEP 1
You will participate in an intensive three day Train-the-Trainer Seminar where you will learn training techniques, prepare and deliver a practice workshop with your peers.
STEP 2
You will market and deliver one of the 10 workshops provided in the Step 1 training to a group of owner-operators from your local community. We will provide you with all the tools and resources necessary to deliver your chosen workshop. You will have a virtual meeting with the Learning Manager for the program in order to assess your demonstrated competence and to review your application for approval as an authorized trainer. Throughout this process, you will receive the support and guidance of your Learning Manager via phone and personal contact as needed.
You will also have access to your trainer peers via a private email list serve. Authorized trainers will have on-going access to these resources, as well as up-to-date versions of all of the small business development workshops on the ACSBE Trainers website.
